Homeward bound journey today and Judith’s birthday.
We spent the morning in Annecy wandering around and absorbing the history and architecture of the quaint little town. An added bonus was that there was the weekly produce market, with many interesting food stalls. One was of spectacular samples of fresh meat &ndash pig’s trotters, skinned rabbits etc., another with plenty of French soft cheese, and another exhibiting more than 40 species of mushrooms.
We spent a couple of hours at Geneva airport, with many very elegant and exclusive shopping boutiques. One of which was a wonderful florist with a plethora of different arrangements but all flowers being displayed in a highly organised and creative colour theme. Judith enjoyed her celebration Pizza for her birthday lunch before we all boarded the plane to unfortunately return back to reality, the only plus being less pasta and less cous cous!!
