Walk 10/2009 – Buttermere, Lake District

The A team
The A team of Geoff, Owen, Colin, Angela and Simon (non–Cable) did a circular route which took in Red Pike, High Style, High Crag, Haystacks and Fleetwith Pike. Colin chickened out of the last peak which proved difficult to descend. Walk stats: Distance 11.4 miles Ascent 1305 metres.
The B team
The B team of Alan, Andy, Judith, Nigel, Barbara and Simon (Cable) did a circular route which took in Blea Crag, Red Pike, High Style, High Crag and Haystacks before returning along the northern side of Buttermere. Walk stats: Distance 11.2 miles Ascent 1074 metres.
The C team
The C team of Cathy, Diane and Michelle did a route around Crummock Water. Walk stats: Distance 8.3 miles Ascent 437 metres.
